• Ability to understand and follow safety instructions and work duties.
• Ability to read numbers and sort packages correctly.
• Proficiency with basic equipment such as scanners, moving carts, and unloading devices.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches by hooking and moving trailers between yard and doors or from doors to yard.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from delivery vehicles and conveyors.
• Sorts packages by reading labels and charts, and by scanning information.
