Job summary
Quality Repair Solutions (QRS®) in Augusta, GA is seeking a dependable Trailer Mechanic to diagnose and repair tractors and trailers, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety standards. You will work from a service truck and document maintenance in the management system.
The role requires at least 1 year of experience with diesel systems and trailer maintenance. We offer weekly pay, tool/boot reimbursement, and a comprehensive benefits package including health
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of experience with diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience with tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT rules/regulations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
- Perform annual/systematic inspections on trailers as required.
- Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
- Operate a yard hostler to move trailers within the facility.
- Identify parts and supplies as needed.
- Follow OSHA and environmental safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure safety and longevity of equipment.
- Perform welding tasks as needed.
