Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician Trainee in Pittston, PA to gain foundational knowledge of tools, shop safety, and FHWA inspections. The role involves learning air brake systems, completing repairs, and potentially working outdoors with shift flexibility including nights and weekends.

The position is full-time in the Maintenance department, offering training and growth opportunities within a leading transportation and logistics company.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to supply your own basic tools.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends.
• Must maintain safety and follow shop procedures.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a more senior team member to learn to perform repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications; complete work orders and train to be efficient in SRT and warranty guidelines.
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers at all times.
• Train to become efficient in routine preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, basic repair as it pertains to air brake systems, and FHWA Inspections.
