Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Trailer Technician in Palmetto, GA to perform basic maintenance and repair on trailers, containers, chassis and related equipment. Under supervision, you will ensure compliance with J.B. Hunt standards and complete work orders efficiently.

The role involves working outdoors, handling air brake systems and FHWA inspections, and potentially shifts including nights and weekends. A high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent
• Able to supply your own basic tools or via toolbox purchase program
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Proficient in basic computer skills and shop procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on trailer equipment
• Repair air brake systems and complete FHWA inspections
• Fill out and process work orders
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain clean work area
