Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Trailer Technician in South Gate, CA to perform basic maintenance and repairs on trailers, containers, chassis, and related equipment. You will work under supervision to ensure compliance with J.B.

Hunt standards and complete work orders efficiently. The role requires 1 year of semi-trailer maintenance experience, DOT/FHWA inspections familiarity, and the ability to work outdoors across shifts. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with 1 year of semi-trailer maintenance/repair experience or equivalent.
• Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends.
• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment per specifications.
• Complete work orders and adhere to SRT and warranty guidelines.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with staff and customers.
