Job summary
Schneider National, Inc. in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Trailer Technician for the 1st Shift, Monday–Wednesday and every other weekend, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
You will perform routine maintenance and inspections on company trailers, using maintenance software to track work orders and communicate progress to internal customers. Requirements include a technical degree in welding/electronics or at least 1 year of trailer technician experience, basic welding skills, and familiarity with diagnostic
Qualifications
- Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
- Basic welding skills preferred.
- Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
- Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
- Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
- Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
- Communicate status updates with internal customers.
