Job summary

Schneider National in Columbus, OH is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements on company trailers. You will use maintenance software to create and track work orders, communicate status updates with internal customers, and provide maintenance recommendations.

Candidates with a technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or at least 1 year of trailer technician experience, and a willingness to bring own tools

Qualifications

Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
Basic welding skills preferred.
Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
Communicate status updates with internal customers.
