Job summary

U.S. Xpress seeks a Technician, III Trailer to diagnose, service and repair trailers and related mechanical components at the SHIPPENSBURG USX TERMINAL. The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ trailer repair experience, DOT and Brake certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Strong welding skills and the ability to read and write are essential. The position offers a remote- not allowed - work setting and competitive compensation within the listed range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on trailers.
• A Technical Diploma from a Diesel program may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Tests, services, and repairs trailers and related mechanical components.
• Diagnose brakes, suspension, air, and lighting systems; service body panels.
• Mentor Trailer Tech I/II as needed.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
• Perform basic maintenance on tractors and trailers.
