Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Trailer Technician I to perform basic maintenance, service, and repairs on trailers, containers, chassis and related equipment under close supervision.

You will help conduct fleet maintenance to ensure our equipment meets J.B. Hunt standards at all times. Candidates should be able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends, and adhere to shop safety procedures while communicating professionally with J.B.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent.
• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections
• Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers
