Job summary
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician I to perform basic maintenance and repair on trailers, containers, and chassis under supervision. You will ensure fleet readiness and compliance with J.B. Hunt standards.
The role requires basic knowledge of preventative maintenance, air brake systems, and FHWA inspections, with opportunities to grow through the Technician Career Advancement program.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent education/experience.
- Willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights/weekends if needed.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures and complete work orders to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of preventive maintenance and standard repairs for trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections.
- Perform basic repairs per specifications, complete work orders, and follow SRT and warranty guidelines.
- Adhere to shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt staff and customers.
- Collaborate with team to ensure timely, compliant maintenance and fleet readiness.
