Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform basic maintenance and repair on trailers, containers and chassis. Under supervision, you will ensure equipment meets J.B. Hunt standards and complete work orders efficiently.

The role requires 18+ years old with 1 year of trailer maintenance experience; you should have your own basic tools or participate in the toolbox program, and be willing to work outdoors and various shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair.
• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment, including air brake systems
• Accurately perform basic repairs up to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers
