Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking a Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic in Memphis, TN to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of trailers. This role requires troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems while ensuring DOT compliance and safety standards.

You will inspect and repair brakes, suspensions, frames, and related components, perform preventive maintenance, document all work orders, and contribute to a fast-paced service environment

Qualifications

• Experience as a Trailer Technician or Trailer Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of brake, suspension, hydraulic, electrical systems and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine servicing
• Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components
• Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory and company standards
• Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals to identify issues
• Document all repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs
