Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking a Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic in the United States to perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, cargo, and utility trailers. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems to ensure DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in trailer repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of brake systems, suspension systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirements.
• Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools.
• Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailer components.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicing
• Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components
• Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory and company standards
• Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals to identify issues
• Document all repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs
