J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Trailer Technician Trainee to gain foundational knowledge of tools, safety, and shop policies, with a focus on air brake systems and FHWA inspections.

The role may require outdoor work, and shifts including nights/weekends/overtime, with full-time attendance. The candidate will shadow senior staff, learn repairs to manufacturer specifications, and progress toward efficient repair times and warranty guidelines while maintaining professional

Qualifications

• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a senior team member to learn repairs to company and manufacturer specifications and train to meet standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
• Follow all shop safety procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
• Train to become efficient in routine maintenance and air brake systems repairs, and FHWA inspections.
