Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician Trainee to learn repairs under supervision and train towards meeting company standards for air brake systems and FHWA inspections.

The role may require outdoor work, shifts including nights and weekends, and full-time attendance. Candidates should be 18+ with a High School Diploma or GED preferred, and must be comfortable using basic computer software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Own basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a senior team member to learn repairs to company and manufacturer specifications and to train for standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
• Adhere to shop safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
• Train to perform routine preventative maintenance, basic repairs related to air brake systems, and FHWA inspections.
