J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Westfield, MA, is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform complex maintenance, service and repair of trailers, containers, chassis and related equipment.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete fleet maintenance processes to meet company specs. This role requires hands-on work, safety compliance, and mentoring of trainees when needed. Starting pay range is $27.85–$41.75 per hour, with eligibility for annual bonuses based on profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with 3+ years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent
• Experience with DOT and FHWA inspections and air brakes
• EPA section 608 certification and Refrigeration License (preferred)
• Advanced welding skills (MIG and stick) and ABS systems knowledge
• Proficient computer skills; MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in elements

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts, and complex repairs on trailers
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform repairs to company and manufacturer specifications
• Complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times and warranty guidelines
• Participate in OE training and mentor trainee technicians as needed
• Coordinate shift support and tasks as a team lead

You are responsible for performing complex maintenance, service, and repair of J.B. Hunt trailers, containers, chassis, and other equipment.
