Job description


Location: Sterling, IL, USA

Shift: 3rd Shift

Schedule: FULLTIME; Monday-Wednesday and every other weekend 10:00 P.M. - 8:30 A.M.

Job overview:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements as a Trailer Technician in Sterling, IL.
  • Work on company trailers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers - like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
  • Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
  • Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
  • Basic welding skills preferred.
  • Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
  • Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
  • Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

  • Starting wage of $22.60 - $28.20 / hour based on experience. $1.50/hr (Having 50% or greater of the regular weekly scheduled hours worked after 15:00 local time) and $0.65 weekend/hr (weekend hours are defined as hours worked between 2100 Friday and 0500 Monday) Note: non-exempt US shop associates working the specific 3 day, 12-hr shift defined as every Fri/Sat/Sun or every Sat/Sun/Mon receive a $3/hour differential in lieu of the $0.65 for all hours worked and are not eligible for the weekend shift differential.
