Job Description

Job Summary

Molina MTM Pharmacy Services staff work to ensure that Molina members have access to Medicare Star medications and that these medications are used in a cost-effective, safe manner. These roles involve creating, operating, and monitoring Molina Health Plan’s pharmacy benefit programs in accordance with all federal and state laws. Responsibilities include formulary management, clinical pharmacy services such as therapeutic drug monitoring, drug regimen review, patient education, and medical staff interaction, as well as oversight through establishing and measuring performance metrics related to patient outcomes, medication safety, and medication use policies.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with Molina pharmacists on medication adherence and provide follow-up on identified adherence barriers.
• Perform outreach to members, prescribers, and/or pharmacies as needed.
• Participate in the development and administration of programs aimed at enhancing targeted drug utilization and identifying cost-saving pharmacy practices.
• Identify and report departmental operational issues and resource needs to management.
• Assist Molina Member Services, pharmacies, and health plan providers in resolving prescription claim, prior authorization, or pharmacy access issues.
• Articulate Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to pharmacy/health plan providers and other staff as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Required Experience/Skills: 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician

Required License/Certification: Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification

Preferred Education: Associate's Degree

Preferred Experience: 3+ years
