Job summary

Reyes Fleet Management in Garner, NC is seeking a Trailer Technician / Fleet Technician A to service our fleet on trailers, lift gates, and reefer units in an outdoor setting. The position is based at a Martin Brower facility in Garner, NC. Shift is 8:00am-5:00pm with some weekend flexibility.

Pay is $35.00-$37.00/hr. The role requires 3+ years of related experience, own tools, and a valid CDL is highly desired in some locations. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related experience.
• Own tools required.
• CDL preferred in some locations but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the online system.
• Diagnose complex mechanical/electrical problems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to safety policies and DOT/OSHA requirements.
• Occasional driving of company vehicles; some travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Reyes Fleet Management, 1 of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Trailer Technician / Fleet Technician A at our Martin Brower facility in Garner, NC.

Will mainly be working on trailers, lift gates, and reefer units.

• This is an outdoor position**

Shift:

8:00am-5:00pm but can be flexible (weekends as needed)

Pay

$35.00 - $37.00/hr

Position Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal polices and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
• This position may require driving Reyes Family of Businesses, Reyes Fleet Management and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role. The Driver Qualification file includes: an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request from prior employers in the last three years. Additionally, CDL holders will have a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMSCA Clearinghouse review

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3 plus years of related experience
• Must possess own tools
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
• Valid CDL (License A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations
• Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds
