Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking Trailer Technicians at our Sapulpa, OK shop. You will diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document repairs using our systems.

Welding and fabrication skills are a plus, with training provided as needed. We offer competitive pay up to $37/hr based on experience, weekly pay, and a robust benefits package including 401(k) with match and vehicle-related stipends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing Class 8 equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Identify and classify repairs: preventive maintenance, component failure, brake components, dolly legs, panels, doors and hardware.
• Record parts, materials, and repairs using company systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Diagnose and repair trailer and Class 8 equipment issues
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
• Identify and properly classify repairs, including:
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Component failure
  • Brake components
  • Dolly legs
  • Panel and other related repairs (radius, nose, etc)
  • Doors and related hardware
• Record parts, materials, and repairs details using company systems
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience
• Experience of diagnosing and repairing Class 8 equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools
  • Not required! Training will be provided as needed
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks
