Job summary

Hirschbach is seeking a Diesel Technician in Denton, TX to diagnose and repair our fleet, including Freightliner, Kenworth, and International trucks. You will perform preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and various service tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in fleet maintenance or recent tech-school graduates with a valid driver's license and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years' experience in fleet maintenance or recent tech school graduate.
• Valid driver's license.
• Certifications (EPA 609, Cummins, Navistar, Daimler) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet equipment, primarily Freightliner, plus Kenworth and Internationals.
• Perform preventative maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
• Record repairs, parts use, and warranty details.
• Follow safety and quality standards in every job.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and fleet management.
• Stay current with diesel technology training.

What You’ll Do

As a Tractor Technician, you'll:

• Diagnose and repair our fleet — primarily Freightliner trucks, plus Kenworth and Internationals
• Perform preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension & steering, after-treatment service, charging systems, and A/C
• Accurately record repairs, parts use, and warranty details
• Follow safety and quality standards in every job
• Communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and fleet management
• Stay sharp with ongoing training in the latest diesel technology (Diamond Logic Builder, Cummins Insite, Detroit Diagnostic Link, Bendix Acom, Wabco Toolbox, etc.)
• Collaborate with teammates to solve tough problems
• And take on other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

You’ll excel here if you bring:

Required

• 1-2+ years' experience in fleet maintenance or recent tech school graduate
• Valid driver's license

Strongly Preferred

• Certifications (EPA 609, Cummins, Navistar, Daimler)
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (Cummins Insite, DTNA, Bendix, etc.)
• Class 8 truck repair experience (electronics, PMs, brakes, suspension)

Nice to Have

• CDL A or B
