Job summary

Central Transport is seeking skilled diesel/mechanic professionals to maintain our fleet across the U.S. and Canada. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, trailer repair, brake and tire service, and frame work to keep 2,200 tractors and 8,500 trailers in dependable condition.

We offer industry-leading pay starting at $31/hour, company-paid training, medical and dental coverage, PTO, bereavement and jury duty leaves, and uniforms provided. ASE certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in fleet maintenance or mechanical repair.
• Basic set of tools required.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
• Repair tears on container sides, replace lights, and tire repair.
• Repair landing gear and frame as needed.
