Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Trailer Mechanic (Second) to perform routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet of 53' trailers. The role focuses on safe, efficient repairs and preventative care to keep the fleet in top condition.

We offer industry-leading pay starting at $36-38/hr, medical, dental, vision, PTO, and Blue Cross Blue Shield coverage. Free uniforms provided and a 2nd shift premium are included; ASE certification is preferred but not required, with a basic toolset needed

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in trailer maintenance or similar
• Basic set of automotive tools
• ASE certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trailers and related equipment.
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment.
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis and replace lights as needed.
• Assist with tire and landing gear repairs, frame repairs and general suspension tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner

• Repairing tears on the sides of containers
• Replacing lights
• Tire repair
• Landing gear repair
• Frame repair
• Preventative maintenance / running repair / brakes / suspension
