Job summary

Central Transport of Ohio is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to service and repair our fleet of trailers and tractors across the United States and Canada. This role spans preventive maintenance, brake inspections, tire and lighting repairs, and frame work in a fast-paced LTL environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required
• Basic set of tools
• ASE certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis
• Repair tears on container sides
• Replace lights
• Tire repair
• Landing gear repair
• Frame repair
