Job summary

Metrolina Greenhouses is seeking a Switcher to safely move trailers between docks in a fast-paced outdoor facility in Huntersville, NC. You will support dock and labor teams across the division as needed and ensure a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include driving 18-wheelers between docks, conducting yard checks, operating the fuel truck when required, and performing dock duties as assigned. Fluency in English and ability to work outdoors are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience driving a switcher or OTR trailer.
• Detailed-oriented, accurate, reliable, able to multitask, and be a team player.
• Active driver's license valid in the state.

Responsibilities

• Drive 18-wheelers from dock to dock within the facilities
• Ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate with the dock crews, drivers, and other switchers throughout the facility
• Conduct yard checks
• Operate the fuel truck when needed
• Complete dock work as assigned
• Other duties as assigned by management
