Job summary

Tyson Foods is hiring for a Yard Driver on C Shift at Sherman Case Ready Distribution in Sherman, TX. The role involves spotting and pulling trailers, securing loads, and maintaining yard safety and cleanliness.

You will inspect trucks, follow safety procedures, and coordinate with management to ensure efficient dock operations. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, a clear MVR, and the ability to communicate with all levels of management.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clear MVR.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Must follow operational procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Spot and pull trailers in/out of dock doors following pull light procedures.
• Ensure each trailer has a nose stand and is properly chocked.
• Monitor product protection: temperatures, fuel levels, refrigeration unit operation.
• Seal finished loads and maintain seal integrity on Tyson property.
• Maintain traffic flow for outside drivers and keep yard clean.
• Perform pre-trip inspections on shag trucks and report defects.
• Keep shag trucks clean and follow safety procedures at all times.
