Job summary

Forward Air is seeking a self-motivated Trailer Mechanic to join the maintenance team in Florida. You will maintain vehicles, trailers, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with FA policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include evaluating equipment, performing minor trailer repairs, tire work, inspections, and data entry in Maintenance Software. A valid driver's license and strong mechanical aptitude are required, with a willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate status of mechanical equipment, and trailers.
• Maintain equipment according to DOT regulations.
• Perform minor trailer repairs.
• Perform tire mounting/dismounting and repairs.
• Perform minor cosmetic repairs.
• Conduct various analysis and inspections to determine maintenance needs.
• Maintain regular attendance and keep tools in good order.
• Operate a variety of diagnostic instruments and hand/electric/air tools.
• Keep work area clean and perform data entry in maintenance software.
