Job summary

UPS is hiring a Trailer Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on transportation trailers and converter dollies. The role requires diagnosing and repairing non-power equipment, including air brake and electrical systems, and meeting DOT requirements.

The position demands using diagnostic tools, having a full set of hand tools, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and move up to 150 pounds. Overtime may be required and PPE must be worn.

Qualifications

• Current documented trailer mechanic experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possess a full complement of personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet D.O.T requirements.
• Lift, lower, push, pull, leverage and handle objects up to 70 pounds.
• Assist in moving packages or equipment up to 150 pounds.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work in variable temperatures and humidity and outdoor conditions.
