Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS) in Angleton, TX seeks an energetic Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-truck trailers and tractors. You will work from a service truck performing brake, tire, electrical, and structural repairs, following DOT and company standards.

Documentation of maintenance and parts research is required. The role requires 1+ year in diesel/trailer maintenance, R-Stamp welding (2G/3G/4G) and TIG welding skills, and familiarity with DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with tractor/trailer maintenance and diesel systems.
• R-Stamp welding certification required; TIG welding experience preferred.
• Familiar with DOT rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers; perform preventive maintenance.
• Inspect equipment and ensure compliance with FHWA/OSHA standards.
• Operate yard hostler to move trailers within the yard and shop.
• Order and receive parts; maintain maintenance records in software.
• Practice safety procedures; keep work area clean and organized.
• Weld as needed to complete repairs on equipment.
