We are looking for an energetic, reliable Trailer Mechanic to join our team in La Porte, TX. We are a dynamic, stable and growing company with great long‑term career opportunities across headquarters, trucking terminals, mechanic shops, depots, tank washes and other locations.
Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on semi‑truck trailers and tractors, including brake adjustments, tire replacements, electrical troubleshooting, and basic structural repairs while working out of a service truck and adhering to strict safety regulations. Perform general repairs on tractor and trailer units in accordance with DOT, federal, and state regulations and company standards, using technical publications or automated systems to maintain vehicles per prescribed manufacturer maintenance schedules. Properly annotate all maintenance and labor performed in maintenance management software.
This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; hours depend on location.
The shop has a climate similar to outdoor weather. Frequent exposure to loud machinery, air tool operation, hammering, and engine noise.
