Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a maintenance professional to maintain and repair heavy machinery across our facilities. You’ll perform inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems while upholding our safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a heavy industrial environment.
• Able to communicate technically, orally and in writing.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools and precision tools.
• Safety oriented with ability to work in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety programs and upholds safety culture.
• Modify, repair and install machinery and equipment following safety policies.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs efficiently.
• Repair hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned.
• Train to work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain fleet trucks and trailers, including diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You\'ll Do

• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Modify, repair and install all types of machinery and mechanical equipment while observing all applicable CMC Safety Policies and Procedures
• Perform equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and troubleshooting equipment problems in an accurate and efficient manner
• Perform repairs on Hydraulic and electrical equipment as assigned
• Train to perform industrial mechanical repairs and gain knowledge about hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Work as a part of the maintenance team
• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on fleet trucks and trailers, including diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You\'ll Need

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
• Minimum 2 years preferably in a heavy industrial environment
• Must be able to communicate technically, orally and written
• Must be able to use a computer
• Possess proficient skills utilizing hand tools, power tools and precision tools for performing all facets of the repair and maintenance process
• Safety oriented person with leadership skills to perform maintenance duties in a team environment and ability to work alone with little or no supervision
• Able to work overtime as business requires
• Possess specific knowledge of both diesel engines and hydraulic systems

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
