CRST The Transportation Solution, based in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Equipment Manager to ensure trailers are positioned and available to minimize downtime while supporting operations. You will anticipate equipment needs and work with departments to keep the trailer fleet efficient and ready for contractor demand.

In this role you will monitor utilization and expenses, coordinate trailer movements, and help drive fleet growth through disciplined processes and collaboration with operations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assign trailers to contractors based on operational needs and demand.
• Maintain trailer pools across locations based on operational needs.
• Monitor trailer utilization and reduce idle or underutilized equipment.
• Coordinate trailer movements to support operations and contractor demand.
• Monitor trailer expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain records of trailer locations, status, and expenses.
• Track availability and downtime to minimize operational impact.
