Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Hostler to safely move tractor trailers on company property, load docks, and park equipment, ensuring timely deliveries.

You will interact with customers and coworkers, perform DOT-compliant inspections, and complete required paperwork while adhering to safety policies. A valid CDL, clean MVR, and ability to lift 10-90 pounds are required; on-site scheduling may include overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months driving experience.
• Must have valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move freight of varying size and weight.

Responsibilities

• The Hostler moves tractor trailers to/from loading docks and parks trailers safely.
• Communicates with customers, vendors and coworkers professionally.
• Inspects trailers and follows DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to docks and maintenance facilities.
• Completes required documentation and performs other duties as assigned.

Skills

6+ months driving experience

Clean MVR (past 3 years)

Valid CDL

Ability to lift 10-90 pounds

Education
