Job summary

Core-Mark International in Springfield, OH is hiring a Hostler responsible for moving tractor trailers on our dock and loading areas, transporting trailers to loading docks, and ensuring safe, timely parking in alignment with DOT rules.

You will interact with customers and co-workers professionally; responsibilities include inspections, fuel/move/park tractors or trailers, and completing required documentation as part of our food distribution operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license is required.
• Meet all State licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Able to hand-lift and use two-wheeler and lift gate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Move tractor trailers to/from loading docks safely and on time.
• Park trailers in designated areas in compliance with DOT rules.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Perform inspections and move trailers following DOT policies.
• Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers at docks; secure gear.
• Transport trailers to offsite maintenance/inspection facilities; local city driving.
• Complete all required documentation and perform related duties.
