Job summary

XPO is hiring a Technician Specialist in Romulus, MI. This role focuses on trailer inspections, brake replacements, and routine maintenance to ensure safe and reliable fleet operations.

You will work with a team of technicians in a shop environment, performing repairs, documenting work orders, and using specialized tools. Growth to Technician Level 1 is supported with FMCSA-related training over 1–2 years.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Basic mechanical skills required.
• Basic computer skills for documenting maintenance, service and repair activities.
• Able to perform safety inspections and prepare safety documentation.
• Desire to become a Trailer Technician.
• Available to work days/evenings/nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trailer inspections and brake replacement.
• Complete component replacements.
• Maintain, service, and repair trailer doors and SafeStack Systems.
• Work with shop technicians on minor trailer repairs.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and well-maintained; report damages.
• Interact with operations and shop management.
