Job summary

XPO is hiring a Trailer Tech Apprentice in the United States. The role includes inspecting trailers, replacing brakes, and performing routine maintenance to build skills toward Technician Level 1.

You’ll work with seasoned technicians, log hours and parts, and use specialized tooling in a fast-paced shop environment. Eligible applicants will have a valid driver's license, basic mechanical and computer skills, and a desire to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and basic mechanical skills.
• Basic computer skills to document maintenance, service and repair activities.
• Ability to perform safety inspections and prepare safety documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trailer inspections and brake replacement to gain FMCSA experience.
• Complete component replacements and routine maintenance.
• Repair trailer doors and SafeStack Systems on docked units.
• Collaborate with shop Technicians on minor trailer repairs.
• Record job times and parts on repair orders.
• Operate specialized tools and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Coordinate with operations and shop management.
