Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Civil/Traffic Engineering Intern to join our Transportation team in the Boston, MA office. You will work on projects that improve traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure, under the guidance of professional engineers and senior staff.

You’ll participate in transportation and traffic engineering tasks such as traffic operations, corridor studies, signal timing, and design, using tools like SYNCHRO, HCS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Big Data.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or on track to obtain.
• Previous design or transportation-related coursework or internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations and evaluations in design of public infrastructure.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules for construction.
• Use computer-aided engineering software and equipment for tasks.
• Coordinate projects from conception through final plans.
