Job summary

Jacobs Solutions Inc. seeks a Civil/Traffic Engineering Intern to join our Transportation team in the Boston, MA office, assisting on projects that enhance traffic flow, safety, and infrastructure for clients locally and globally.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on traffic operations, safety analysis, corridor studies, and signal timing under senior guidance, using tools like SYNCHRO, HCS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related degree.
• Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or on track to obtain.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of solutions and systems for public infrastructure applications.
• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules for use during construction.
• Use of computer-aided engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Assisting in the coordination of projects from conception through final plan preparations.
• Providing support to engineering staff members as needed.
