Forest Preserve District of DuPage County in West Chicago, IL seeks a Maintenance Technician II to join our Grounds Trails and Streams Crew. The role focuses on installation, maintenance and repair of landscape features across the district's preserves.

We require 1-3 years in trail construction and maintenance, a Class A CDL with travel across the district, and preferred Pesticide Operator's License. Schedule is Monday–Friday; benefits package included.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience in maintenance duties and operation of machinery and equipment.
• Illinois Class A CDL with 1-3 years of trail construction, renovations, and maintenance.
• Pesticide Operator's License preferred; travel across the district.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of landscape features across the district's preserves.
• Planting, vegetation management, trailside landscaping, and upkeep of natural areas.
• Bench construction, finishing, and maintenance in various settings.
