Job summary

STV is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Engineering Specialist – Express Lanes and Tolling for a Bay Area public agency, based in San Jose. This on‑site, full‑time assignment spans a minimum of 12 months with onboarding and ongoing mentoring from STV’s Tolling and Mobility Technologies team.

You will work as a core member of the tolling team across planning, operations, reporting, and board‑level work, with potential to extend beyond 12 months based on mutual fit and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong data analytics skills and experience with tolling or express lanes.
• Experience with public-sector transportation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support tolling, express lanes planning, implementation, and performance reporting.
• Coordinate with agency staff, Caltrans, CHP, and system vendors.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations communicating system performance and policy outcomes.
• Prepare staff reports and presentations for agency staff and stakeholders.
• Assist with operational readiness and transition to operations for new facilities.
