Job description
We are seeking an experienced ITS / Tolling Engineer to support the design, delivery, and execution of advanced transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering work related to ITS, tolling, traffic systems, and electrical infrastructure
- Support project delivery, scheduling, compliance, and technical execution
- Develop project documentation including take-offs, shop drawings, load calculations, test plans, and outage plans
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, estimates, and presentations
- Assist with RFP responses, proposals, and business development efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and transportation agencies
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in ITS, tolling, traffic systems, or electrical engineering
- Experience supporting VDOT, municipal transportation agencies, or state DOT projects
- Strong knowledge of ITS systems design, tolling systems, smart mobility, and connected transportation technologies
- Proposal development and technical writing experience preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills
