Job: Traffic Technician Maintenance Worker

About the Position:
Under direct supervision of a Crew Leader, lay out, stripe, paint, and maintain road lane lines, centerlines, crosswalks, turn arrows, stop bars, parking stalls, and other pavement markings. Assist with the removal, installation, and maintenance of traffic control devices; maintain accurate and up-to-date paper and computer records related to a particular area of assignment.

About Our Traffic Operations Division:

The traffic operations division is responsible for installing pavement markings and striping the City of Grand Junction roadways. We also fabricate, install, and maintain all signs within City limits. Members of our team are self-starters with a positive attitude and a dedicated work ethic. • Tail trucking for striping operations
• Tabbing and street layout
• Sign fabrication and installation
• Install pavement markings

Qualifications

This position is a safety sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination.
• Possession or the ability to obtain, a valid Colorado Driver's License.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
