Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold an accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
• Must hold an accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology with two years of full-time experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot maintenance of 13,900 traffic signals.
• Coordinate with maintenance contractors via radio to resolve signal failures.
• Restore proper operations and ensure traffic flow and public safety.
• Troubleshoot ITS wireless communications and coordinate with service providers.
• Prepare and provide management reports and maintain ITS equipment health.
• Utilize video surveillance and other vehicle detection tools to manage incidents citywide.
• Monitor work zones and severe weather and coordinate responses with responders.
