Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications, or related field.
• Three years' progressively responsible experience with automated traffic control and traffic monitoring systems.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with construction managers and traffic engineers on major projects to minimize roadway impacts and manage lane closures.
• Communicate traffic alerts to emergency services, stakeholders, and the traveling public; report accidents promptly with details.
• Assist signal timing staff with timing or re-timing of intersections.
• Participate in transportation management systems projects and assist in planning and implementing new systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
