Job summary

The City of Pasadena Public Works Department is seeking a proactive Maintenance Worker II to perform semi-skilled traffic striping, painting, and regulatory sign maintenance within the Street Maintenance Division. The role supports cross-functional teams and requires reliability, safety awareness, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities include applying crosswalks and street markings, operating airless paint sprayers and related equipment, maintaining tools and records, and ensuring adherence

Qualifications

• One year of full-time maintenance and construction experience in at least two of the following functions: sewer and storm drain maintenance; parks or Rose Bowl maintenance; street maintenance or street cleaning; solid waste collection; traffic painting and signs; streetlights and traffic signals; or street trees.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of street painting work, including the painting of crosswalks, curbs, street markings, and installation of raised pavement markers.
• Airless paint sprayers and drives light equipment; maintains tools inventory, records, and equipment in good working order, including airless and air paint sprayers, paint striper, hydraulic paint spray truck, and forklift.
• Complies with and enforces operating and safety procedures.
