Job summary

The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department seeks a Traffic Signs & Markings Technician to join our team. This full-time role runs Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.

You will maintain, fabricate, and repair traffic signs and pavement markings, supporting safe and efficient city streets. Required: high school diploma or GED, 1 year in construction/maintenance, valid driver’s license, and IMSA certifications (Work Zone Safety within 6 months, Signs & Markings Level 1 within

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in general construction and maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• IMSA Work Zone Traffic Control Safety Certification within 6 months of hire or promotion date.
• IMSA Signs and Markings Level 1 Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion date.
• Or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, fabricate, and repair traffic signs, guide signs, and special-ordered signs.
• Perform street pavement marking tasks and related sign projects.
