The City of Chandler is seeking a Street Maintenance Technician – CDL to support the concrete and asphalt team. This full-time role operates on a 4 day/10-hour schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Ideal candidates bring CDL with tanker endorsement, HAZWOPER and Dust Control certifications, plus a year of street maintenance experience. The city emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in street maintenance or general construction.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Maricopa County Dust Control Certification within 1 year of hire.
• 40 hours of HAZWOPER Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair of streets, right of way, alleys, medians, and related asphalt/concrete features.
• Maintain storm drain systems and retention basins.
• Repair and replace curbs, gutters, and pavement markings as needed.
• Respond to hazards and ensure compliance with regulations and safety requirements.
