Qualifications

Associate's degree in electronics with 3 years of progressive repair/maintenance experience.
Ability to read schematics and maintenance manuals to troubleshoot to component level.
Experience removing/replacing soldered through-hole, surface mount, and ball grid array components.
Knowledge of Linux, computer networking, and Tera Term.
Possession of a valid driver's license for statewide travel.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot traffic signal control and ITS devices using test equipment.
Replace defective electronic components and reprogram firmware as needed.
Evaluate equipment for compliance and functional suitability on the highway system.
Determine test equipment needs and priorities; modify cabinets per designs.
Travel statewide and traverse rough roadside terrain as required.
