Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a field closely related to these duties.
• Must obtain a Flagging Certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Must obtain a Forklift Certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Must obtain IMSA certification within one (1) year of hire.
• Must obtain a Heavy Equipment certification within six (6) months of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License accepted by Utah; CDL Class B within 30 days if needed.
• UDOT Medical Card required at time of hire.
• Negative drug test required before starting; random testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled electrical and street lighting installation and maintenance.
• Assists with highway maintenance and snow removal.
• Assists in traffic control setup and execution.
• Operates light and heavy equipment and uses hand tools and pneumatic tools.
• Maintains tools and equipment and performs minor repairs.
• Complies with safety policies, OSHA and MUTCD regulations.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections and reports issues.
• Responds courteously to public inquiries.
