Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Signal/Lighting Trainee to perform electrical work for building traffic signals and roadway lighting.

You will assist technicians and learn to install signaling hardware, wiring, poles, and foundations on outdoor roadways. The role requires willingness to work outdoors, strong safety awareness, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. CDL is preferred but not required; ownership of hand tools helps, and a valid driver’s license is

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn electrical work related to traffic signals and roadway lighting.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts and wiring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and foreman with daily tasks.
• Learn to build and install traffic signals and roadway lighting components.
• Trench and lay conduit, install wiring, and set up signal/pole foundations.
• Operate tools per company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Work outdoors on roadways in varying weather conditions.
